I am Juan Caldés. I was born in Palma de Mallorca, Spain, into a Catholic family, though I grew up in the United States. My personal and professional journey has been shaped by a constant search for identity, knowledge, and commitment to community.
At age18, I discovered my family’s Jewish roots a moment that profoundly changed my life and eventually led me to convert to Judaism. Since then, I have developed a strong commitment to Jewish and Zionist identity, which now guides both my personal and professional life.
I have lived in several countries, including Spain, the United States, the United Kingdom, Israel, and Belgium, an experience that has given me an international perspective and a deep understanding of diverse cultural realities. I am also trilingual in Spanish, English, and French.

I graduated from Emmanuel College, where I studied Political Science and Finance. This academic foundation has provided me with a solid base for analyzing complex geopolitical, economic, and social contexts.
I currently work as Public Affairs and Advocacy Manager at the European Jewish Association (EJA), where I contribute to the development of pan-European initiatives aimed at combating antisemitism and strengthening Jewish life across the continent. My work focuses on supporting Jewish communities and fostering collaborative networks at an international level.

I am a Jewish educator and Middle East expert dedicated to providing context, nuance, and tools for understanding to audiences across Europe, the United States, Latin America, and other international settings. Through educational sessions, lectures, and gatherings, my work focuses on making complex topics accessible and rigorous.
My work specializes in the history and politics of the Middle East, addressing in depth the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and regional geopolitics. I also analyze the impact of these factors on contemporary Jewish and Zionist identity, always seeking to offer a structured and profound perspective on the reality of the region.
I also consider myself a community builder. My work is oriented toward creating spaces for dialogue, strengthening identities, and connecting people around shared values. I firmly believe in the importance of a proud, informed Jewish identity that is engaged with the challenges of the present.
